Ryanair To Create 1,000 New Jobs In Manchester & Other Locations Ryanair, the Dublin-based budget airline, has announced that they will be advertising 1,000 new vacancies, some of which will be jobs in Manchester and nearby areas.

Once the new Manchester jobs are filled by Ryanair, the airline company will employ around 2,000 staff in the North West of England.

Although detailed job numbers have not yet been released by Ryanair, it is thought that new jobs will also be created in Cyprus, Denmark, Poland, Spain – as well as Manchester in the United Kingdom.

The new positions on offer at Ryanair will include sales and marketing jobs to help boost ticket revenues. The company will also be looking for more pilots and cabin crew staff as they expand their fleet of aircraft by around 12 per cent in the near future.

Ryanair’s chief executive Michael O’Leary said of the new Manchester jobs: “Ryanair was delighted to open its Manchester base with 26 routes to exciting destinations in Italy, Germany and Spain among others. Ryanair’s two million passengers will sustain up to 2,000 jobs at Manchester Airport and in the surrounding region.”

Worldwide, the airline company ferried over 75 million passengers last year and expect numbers to grow to 80 million this year.
