Müller To Add 300 Shropshire Jobs

03 Jan 2012

Müller To Add 300 Shropshire Jobs Müller, the dairy company famous for its yoghurt products, could create a further 300 full or part time Shropshire jobs at its UK base in Market Drayton.

Shropshire Council has recently given the green light to Müller’s plans to extend their factory facilities in Market Drayton. The plans include new distribution facilities along with extra storage and manufacturing capabilities.

The expanded Müller development in Shropshire will increase capacity at the site and bosses expect that around 300 full or time jobs could be created over a period of time.

Director of Müller in the UK, Seb Miller, said his company was ‘delighted’ that full planning permission had been given by Shropshire Council but was quick to point out that no official start date for the expansion has yet been set.

Civic leaders in the Market Drayton community said the announcement that Müller’s development could go ahead was a huge boost for the area.

Councillor for Market Drayton West, David Minnery, spoke recently about the 300 new jobs that the Müller expansion will open up in Shropshire.

“Obviously the jobs won’t be created overnight, but it should mean anyone in Market Drayton looking for one should get a job quite easily,” said Mr Minnery.
