Yorkshire Building Society has announced that it will be creating 120 full or part time jobs in Bradford where the company has its headquarters in West Yorkshire.

There are already 1,500 staff in full and part time jobs at the company’s Bradford offices but the recent acquisition of mortgages and savings accounts from Egg Banking along with extra work at the Society’s Accord subsidiary means that they will more vacancies will be advertised.

Yorkshire Building Society’s corporate development manager, Andy Caton, said: “We place high importance on the quality of our customer service and our recruitment of new staff reflects our continuing commitment to this priority. We value our Yorkshire roots and are pleased to be creating more jobs and supporting the local economy.”

Mr Caton said that these were very exciting times for Yorkshire Building Society as they were providing customers with a serious alternative to high street banks. The Society has a strong and stable business and they are positive about the future added Mr Caton.

Local councillor David Green welcomed the news of these new Bradford jobs from the Yorkshire Building Society – a company he praised as one of the region’s highest profile provider of jobs.
