Nestlé To Offer 300 New Derbyshire Jobs & Graduate Vacancies

24 Nov 2011

Nestlé To Offer 300 New Derbyshire Jobs & Graduate Vacancies Nestlé will create 300 new full and part time Derbyshire jobs over the course of the next few years as the food group increases production at its Tutbury manufacturing plant. Some of the roles on offer will be new graduate jobs in Derbyshire.

The company will look to take on extra students, graduates and apprentices and will offer a number of internships as it increases its headcount from 500 to 800 before the end of 2013.

The Derbyshire plant is already a significant coffee producing facility for Nestlé but production there will treble as a dozen high speed production lines are phased in. The total investment by Nestlé will run to around £100 million.

Nestlé currently employs over 7,000 people in the UK and Ireland but has pledged to double the apprentices, graduates and interns that it recruits to its business.

Speaking of the latest recruitment drive for students, graduates and general workers, the chairman and chief executive officer of Nestlé in the UK and Ireland, Paul Grimwood, said that recruiting quality staff was a key to the ongoing success of his company.

“Through the Nestle Academy we will double our number of apprentices, graduates and internships, supporting the economy through the training of skilled workers. We will also provide on the job training which will open academic study to those who otherwise might not feel this is a route open to them,” said Mr Grimwood.
