PwC Looking For 1,800 Students & Graduates In 2012

12 Sep 2011

PwC Looking For 1,800 Students & Graduates In 2012 As 1,200 graduates last week embarked on new professional services careers at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the company is already set to start looking for another 1,800 students and graduates to fill more places next year.

A wide range of graduate jobs will be available, including vacancies in finance, IT, consulting and legal positions.

PwC will have vacancies available for degree level students and A-Level students alike. In addition to full time jobs for graduates and students, there will also be a number of internships on offer.

Head of student recruitment at PwC, Richard Irwin, said that there was a great conversion rate in the number of students undertaking internships then going on to take up full time graduate jobs with PwC. He added that this encouraged PwC to get students into their workplaces at the earliest possible opportunity.

“The earlier we work with students, the more successful our recruitment and their experience will be. The recession and financial crisis marked a shift in attitudes towards understanding more about employability with students getting work experience earlier, rather than just relying on the degree on their CVs to get their foot in the door for a job,” said Mr Irwin.
