New Morrisons Could Bring 350 Supermarket Jobs To Suffolk

30 Jun 2011

New Morrisons Could Bring 350 Supermarket Jobs To Suffolk Another day, another supermarket proposal – and some more potential part time student jobs up for grabs from Morrisons.

At the moment it seems like there is no let up in the number of supermarket companies putting proposals in front of local council officials’ eyes.

The latest supermarket proposal we have heard about comes from Morrisons and it could bring about 350 full or part time Suffolk jobs in the Exning Road area of Newmarket. Students in Newmarket should keep a beady eye on developments of this story if they are hoping to find part time work in the town.

The proposed Morrisons store would take up almost 50 thousand square metres of land and could create between 250 and 350 full or part time Suffolk jobs.

In addition to the usual Morrisons’ food and groceries there would also be space for clothes and a café area. All of these developments should bring about lots of job opportunities for students in the local vicinity.

If the proposed Morrisons supermarket does get signed off by the council then the developers say the new store’s doors could be open to shoppers as early as the last quarter of 2012.
