Salaries For IT Jobs Rising

16 Apr 2010

Salaries For IT Jobs Rising All of you who are looking for graduate IT jobs in London will be pleased to hear that salaries for permanent IT employees have risen by 2 per cent in the last year, according to a recent survey of the IT industry.

The study accounted for 50 different types of IT job across 7,000 positions which had been advertised in the first quarter of the year. It found that the average wage for a professional in the IT industry had now risen to almost £37,000.

Interestingly for anyone who would like a London graduate IT job, the positions most in demand were listed to be for people with skills in web development, PHP, Java, .NET and SEO.

Matthew Iveson, managing director at CV Screen which produced the report, said: “We have seen that confidence has returned to the IT Jobs market over the last 12 months and as a result salaries have risen by 2%. We noticed that in Q4 last year that there was a large increase in vacancies, largely caused by pent up demand from employers who had been sitting tight during the economic slowdown.”
