PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), the professional services company, has taken the top spot in the Times 100 list of graduate job employers for the sixth year running..

The company employs over 15 thousand people around the UK and have recruited 1,000 staff into graduate jobs in tax, advisory and assurance services in 2009. PwC have also bolstered their internship scheme by offering a business academy in the summer along with an international internship.

Earlier in the year PwC were also voted the professional services’ Top Accountancy Employer for the tenth consecutive year.

The head of recruitment at PwC, Sonja Stockton, said that we are still witnessing a competitive market for employers who are looking for the ‘best and brightest’ of the nation’s graduates. Stockton went on to say that: “The UK’s long term economic prosperity is in the hands of this generation. We could be witnessing a generation of students and graduates coming to the market learning some of the hardest business lessons, quicker and more effectively than many of the generations in full time employment.”
