Good news for anyone looking for full or part time jobs in Glasgow! The scottish city has started recruiting for the first of 700 jobs at the St Enoch shopping centre which is undergoing a £100 million regeneration.
Prestigious retailers such as Pulp, H&M, Folli Follie, Henleys and Costa Coffee will all open stores in the new shopping centre. And Hamleys, the toy shop, is getting ready to open its first UK branch outside of London when St Enoch’s is complete. Further new opportunities will be created by stores such as Dorothy Perkins and Debenhams, who already have outlets at the site, investing further money after the final stage of the regeneration is finished.
Recruitment is already underway to find staff to fill hundreds of full and part time jobs in Glasgow at St Enoch. And, other vacancies – again for both full and part time jobs – will be advertised as and when they are needed.
The general manager of the St Enoch Centre, Susan Nicol, said: "From the earliest stages of our redevelopment programme one of our keys aims has been to open doors to a wide range of skills and employment options for the local community. In the next stage of St Enoch Working, the emphasis will be on recruitment assistance for new retailers as well as additional recruitment and training opportunities for existing retailers."
