Law firm wins best undergraduate internship award

08 May 2007

Law firm wins best undergraduate internship award Nabarro is officially the best company to work as an intern for, according to the Target National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2007.

The City law firm picked up the award for best undergraduate internship/vacation programme.

It beat off a shortlist which included Barclays Capital, British Petroleum (BP), Deutsche Bank, IBM Extreme Blue and National Grid.

Simon Johnston, senior partner at Nabarro, said: "We are very proud of our internship programme and are constantly reviewing it to ensure it provides our graduates with the best possible training.

"We worked hard to make Nabarro a great place to learn, as the development of our trainees and promotion from within is a key to our growth."

The judging panel took a number of criteria into account when coming to a decision, including innovation and best practice in the design, structure, implementation and evaluation of the programme and quality of work carried out by students.

Student feedback was also taken into consideration. As reported by Online Recruitment UK, many Nabarro interns have gone on to praise the company's scheme.

One 2006 summer school student commented: "Fantastic scheme. Extremely efficient and well organised… the support we received from graduate recruitment was exceptional."

Another student summed the experience up slightly differently, saying: "Like the advert goes: 'If Carlsberg did summer schemes, they'd probably be the best in the world'. But Nabarro do, and they are."
