Step into the world of horticulture with a hands-on apprenticeship designed to grow your skills, curiosity, and confidence. Beginning in September 2026, this immersive programme blends practical training across our gardens, woodlands, and nursery with a Level 2 Work-Based Diploma.


Working alongside our expert horticulturists, you’ll help care for our living plant collections, support visitor engagement, and gain experience across diverse horticultural teams. From garden maintenance to plant records, tours, demonstrations and wider estate work, every day offers something new to discover.


Who this is for:

Enthusiastic individuals with a genuine interest in horticulture, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work outdoors in all conditions. No formal qualifications are required — just curiosity, commitment, and a positive approach.


What you’ll gain:
