Job Title: Ward Host / Customer Service Assistant (CSA)
Location: Hospital Setting NG17
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Shifts: 14:30 – 18:30 (could alter).
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (including mornings, late afternoons and weekends)
DBS Requirement: Basic or Enhanced DBS required
Training: Full induction provided on your first day
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Ward Host / Customer Service Assistant to join our hospital team. This is a patient-facing role where you will play a key part in supporting patients by delivering meals and providing excellent customer service within a ward environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving meals and beverages to patients in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting patients with menu choices where required
- Ensuring food hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Collecting meal trays and maintaining cleanliness within the ward area
- Providing friendly and compassionate customer service to patients and staff
- Following hospital policies and health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
Essential Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
- Previous experience in a hospital, care, catering or customer service environment
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen awareness
