HSE Engineer Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex Hours: 21 hours per week, ideally split across three days or as reasonable. Contract: Until December 2026, with limited scope for extension. Pay: £23 per hour Our Client, a reputable organisation based at Honeywell is hiring for a dedicated HSE Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis until the end of December 2026. This onsite role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment. What you'll be doing: * Implement and maintain company policies aligned with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. * Assist in designing and developing facilities, work areas, and procedures, providing environmental, health, and safety recommendations. * Prepare, update, and maintain environmental policy and procedure manuals. * Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant regulations and stay informed of legislative changes. * Act as the point of contact with regulatory bodies at all levels. * Support general EHS tasks, including process and procedure writing and system management. What you'll bring: * Experience working with management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or both. * IOSH Managing Safely certification (minimum). * Good PC skills and familiarity with manufacturing or similar industries. * Ability to write and develop processes and procedures. * A proactive approach with the ability to work under supervision. * Ideally, 1-2 years in EHS or junior roles, with a keen interest in developing expertise in environmental and safety management.
