Waiter/Waitress - Crazy Bear Stadhampton
Good service isn’t about hovering. It’s knowing when a table needs you—and when it doesn’t.
We’re looking for someone with a natural way with people, a good eye for detail and the ability to keep things moving when service gets busy.
You’ll take orders, serve food and drinks, answer questions and help guests have a genuinely good time. Simple enough. Doing it properly is the important bit.
What you’ll be doing
- Welcoming guests and getting them comfortably settled
- Knowing the menus and answering questions about the food and drinks
- Taking orders accurately and passing them to the kitchen and bar
- Serving food and drinks promptly and professionally
- Making recommendations and upselling without delivering a sales pitch
- Checking tables have what they need without constantly interrupting them
- Handling allergy and dietary enquiries carefully
- Preparing, clearing and resetting tables
- Supporting private dining, weddings and events
- Working closely with the kitchen, bar and wider front-of-house team
- Keeping your section clean, organised and ready for service
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, hotel or hospitality venue is preferred
- A warm, confident and natural approach to guests
- Strong communication and teamwork
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
- An interest in food, drink and good hospitality
- Food, drink and allergen knowledge—or a willingness to learn
- A sharp eye for presentation and detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- The right to work in the UK

Where you’ll be working
Crazy Bear Stadhampton is Country.
Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, it’s our original home—with signature bedrooms, a 16th-century pub, an al fresco terrace and spaces for weddings and events.
The pace is more relaxed than Town, but there’s still plenty going on: proper pints and good wine in the pub, cocktails by the fire pit and events that can take over the whole place.
