Social Media Coordinator

Job summary

As KOKO enters its next phase of growth, the social media team is focused on expanding audience reach, strengthening engagement and developing KOKO’s brand and IP across its growing ecosystem.

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Social Media Coordinator to support the day-to-day delivery and operation of social media across KOKO, The House of KOKO and Café KOKO.

Reporting to the Senior Social Media & Content Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring social activity is planned, coordinated, published and managed efficiently across multiple platforms. This is a hands-on operational role, working closely with the wider marketing, content and creative teams to keep social activity accurate, consistent and on schedule.

You’ll play an important role in bringing the wider social strategy to life - From publishing and community management to copywriting, content coordination, operation of social media and reporting. You’ll work closely with the Senior Social Media & Content Manager to manage day-to-day priorities, identify opportunities and ensure KOKO’s social channels are consistently well managed and responsive to our audiences.

The role requires some evening and weekend availability to support social publishing and community management.


Role & Responsibilities

Social Media Management & Community

  • Manage the day-to-day running of KOKO’s social channels across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, working within the wider strategy set by the Senior Social Media & Content Manager.
  • Own the scheduling and publishing process, ensuring copy, tags, links, assets and collaborator details are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Manage community engagement, including monitoring and responding to comments and DMs.
  • Maintain social profiles, bios, links, highlights and pinned content.
  • Monitor channels and flag relevant opportunities, issues and audience feedback to the Senior Social Media & Content Manager.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and escalate where required.
  • Coordinate social media requirements across campaigns, partnerships and activations.

Copywriting & Content Support

  • Write and adapt social copy across platforms, maintaining KOKO’s tone of voice.
  • Develop captions, CTAs and platform-specific messaging.
  • Proofread and quality-check content before publication.
  • Support content briefs where required, working from agreed creative direction and campaign objectives.

Social Operations & Administration

  • Manage and organise social content, ensuring assets are received, correctly saved, accessible and ready for publishing.
  • Maintain content calendars, publishing schedules, social trackers and asset libraries.
  • Coordinate approvals, feedback and social requirements across internal teams, agencies and external partners.
  • Support social-led CRM acquisition, ensuring sign-up campaigns, links and messaging are correctly implemented and promoted across relevant channels.
  • Extract and collate social media performance data from platform analytics, social media reporting tools, Google Search Console and link-in-bio platforms, providing accurate data to support regular reporting and analysis.
  • Support the Senior Social Media & Content Manager with reporting, insights and recommendations, providing accurate and timely information to inform wider social planning.
  • Stay up to date with platform functionality, updates and best practice.


About You

  • 2–3 years’ experience in social media, either agency or in-house.
  • Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Experience working with social media management and publishing platforms, such as Sprout Social or Sprinklr. Experience with social listening tools is desirable.
  • Highly organised, reliable and detail-oriented, with strong experience managing platforms, publishing workflows and multiple priorities.
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across different platforms and audiences.
  • Comfortable working within an established social strategy, taking ownership of day-to-day delivery while knowing when to seek direction or escalate issues.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to troubleshoot independently and escalate appropriately.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Genuinely interested in music, culture and entertainment, with a strong understanding of the wider social landscape.
