School Caretaker
Location: Cardiff (CF14)
Pay Rate: £14.13 per hour
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday. Short term shifts available either:
* 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
* 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Longer term requirement, Monday to Friday
* 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing with the potential to become permanent
The Role
Manpower is currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to support a busy school environment in Cardiff. This is a hands on role that plays an important part in ensuring the school site remains safe, clean, and well maintained for staff, pupils and visitors.
This position is available on a temporary ongoing basis and may lead to a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Managing and receiving deliveries
Litter picking across the school grounds
Mopping wet floors and maintaining safe walkways
Emptying internal and external litter bins
Sweeping and maintaining external yard areas
Setting up furniture and chairs for examinations and school events
Unblocking toilets and assisting with sickness incidents when required
Supporting general site maintenance and caretaking dutiesRequirements
Motivated and reliable
Comfortable working as part of a team
Able to show initiative and take a proactive approach to tasks
Practical with strong common sense and problem solving skills
Local to the Cardiff area and able to travel to site reliablyEssential Requirements
Enhanced DBS certificate (Manpower can support with this)
Valid UK driving licence
