About the role
Are you a people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? We’re looking for a driven, organised and people-focused Regional People Consultant to join our team, supporting a portfolio of leading hospitality and event venues across Greater London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex.
Leading the delivery of major events at Allianz Stadium, Goodwood and Wimbledon, while providing additional support across Newbury Racecourse, Farnborough International Conference & Exhibition Centre and Jockey Club Racecourses. Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues and our workforce to ensure successful event delivery. During the summer season, you will also be required to provide on-site support at the Kia Oval and other adhoc-major events.
This is a true all-round consulting role. You’ll be involved in everything from building a recruitment strategy to workforce planning, rotas, staff engagement and live event delivery. You’ll need to be comfortable switching between strategic planning and getting hands-on when an event is live.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead end-to-end staffing and workforce planning across multiple venues and events.
- Forecast staffing requirements and ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.
- Manage bookings, rotas and live staffing through Ubeya.
- Work closely with our Resourcing team to attract, assess and onboard great people.
- Match staff to roles based on skills, experience and suitability.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with venue clients, operational teams and our workforce.
- Support staff engagement, attendance, performance and wellbeing.
- Be hands-on at major events, managing last-minute changes, staffing challenges and live deployments.
- Maintain accurate staffing, attendance and compliance records.
- Use data and reporting to identify opportunities to improve staffing, service and efficiency.
- Ensure staffing activity meets all relevant employment, right-to-work, food safety and health & safety requirements.
- Champion Constellation as an employer of choice.
What we’re looking for
You’ll have 2+ years’ experience in staffing, people operations, hospitality, events or another fast-paced environment, ideally with experience coordinating 200+ workers weekly across multiple shifts, departments or locations. Experience of managing multi-site operations is highly desireable.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident communicator and relationship builder.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and changing demands.
- A strong problem solver who takes ownership and uses initiative.
- Confident using workforce management systems, recruitment platforms, Excel and digital tools.
- Customer-focused and commercially aware, with experience working to targets, budgets or KPIs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-led environment.
- Flexible and willing to get hands-on when required.
- A strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise and adapt quickly.
- Able to travel across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex as the role demands.
The working pattern
- This is a 40-hour, 5-days-out-of-7 role, with regular weekend, evening and occasional bank holiday working.
- You’ll be required to work onsite across different venues throughout the week, with your schedule communicated in advance. Ad-hoc support at wider Constellation venues may also be required.
- We offer a flexible approach to working location and hours, balancing the needs of our venues and events with flexibility for our people.
