Qualified Level 3 SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)

Starjumps Nursery, Borehamwood

Permanent part time (12-15 hours a week across 3-4 days)

Salary £26,789.88 p/a pro rata (£13.21 p/h)

Starjumps Nursery is seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCo to join our warm, nurturing early years setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is committed to supporting children with additional needs and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

We are looking for someone who has;

  • Relevant SENCo qualification (Level 3 or above)
  • Experience supporting children with SEND in an early years setting
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach

The role will involve;

  • Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the nursery
  • Identify children with additional needs and develop appropriate support strategies
  • Create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or support plans
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Support and guide staff in inclusive practice
  • Ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice and relevant policies
