WHERE YOU SIT

As our People Assistant, you’ll be part of the People team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Head of People - GSC. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.


WHERE YOU CONTRIBUTE

The People Assistant provides administrative, operational and advisory support to Vietnam employees, ensuring smooth delivery of People processes and an excellent employee experience. This role is critical in supporting compliance and enabling efficient People service delivery across the entire employee lifecycle. By partnering with People colleagues and business stakeholders, the People Assistant helps drive consistency, accuracy and responsiveness in People advice and operations, supporting engagement, retention and organisational effectiveness. It contributes to building a future-ready organisation, ensuring local employee experience is consistent with global best practice across Dr. Martens globally.


CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

As our People Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate employee records and documentation, ensuring data privacy, compliance and effective delivery of People Operations services through EOR partners.
  • Coordinating onboarding and offboarding, probation reviews, contract changes and terminations, ensuring a seamless employee experience.
  • Providing accurate payroll and benefits data, liaise with EOR partners and support statutory reporting, insurance administration and employee benefits queries.
  • Ensuring People Operations comply with local legislation, internal policies and global standards, while acting as a first point of contact for employee and manager queries.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline People processes, improve the employee experience and support the implementation of new People initiatives, systems and local policies.

KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

Put simply, the key things we’re looking for are:

  • Strong People administration expertise, with a good understanding of People processes, documentation and employment requirements.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Vietnamese employment landscape, with a strong understanding of local legislation and requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines accurately.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and resolve routine People queries effectively.
  • Confident using HRIS and Microsoft Office tools, with a high level of discretion, integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
