Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 6.30am - 3.30pm
Friday 6.30am - 12.30pm

The Role - Paint Sprayer / Automotive Paint Technician
We are recruiting an experienced Paint Sprayer / Vehicle Paint Technician to join a high-performing team within a state-of-the-art paint shop. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes across luxury vehicles, ensuring precision, consistency, and adherence to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Spray vehicles using Etch Primer, Primer, Base Coat, and Clear Coat
Prepare vehicles for painting including:
Degreasing
Tacking off
Application of adhesion promoters
Inspect vehicles for bodywork defects prior to paint application
Apply coatings to meet high-quality automotive manufacturing standards
Ensure consistent, smooth paint finishes using hand spraying techniques
Identify and remove contaminants between paint stages
Maintain and clean spray booths, hoods, and airlines
Meet production targets and quality KPIs
Collaborate with team leaders, technicians, and contractors
Support other functions such as prep and polishing when required
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as an Automotive Paint Sprayer / Vehicle Painter
Strong knowledge of paint shop processes and spray booth operations
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Ability to achieve a high-quality finish consistently
Good understanding of automotive refinishing techniques
Normal colour vision (essential)
Qualifications (Desirable but not essential)
BTEC Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Technology
City & Guilds in Vehicle Body Repair / Paint Operations
IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) qualifications in Refinishing
Any formal automotive body and paint certifications
