Night Porter – Crazy Bear Stadhampton
We’re looking for a reliable Night Porter to support the overnight operation at Crazy Bear Stadhampton. You’ll help look after our guests, complete safety and security checks and prepare the hotel for the following morning.
This is a part-time position working a minimum of two nights per week.
What you’ll be doing
- Assisting guests with overnight questions and requests
- Welcoming late arrivals and supporting early departures
- Completing regular security and safety checks
- Checking that entrances, doors and guest areas are secure
- Reporting incidents, hazards and maintenance problems promptly
- Following fire and emergency procedures
- Keeping reception and public areas tidy and presentable
- Completing straightforward overnight checklists and records
- Assisting with guest bills, payments and reception administration
- Supporting early-morning preparation where required
- Preparing a clear handover for the morning team
- Carrying out other reasonable overnight duties around the hotel
What we’re looking for
- Previous hotel, reception, concierge, security or night-working experience is useful
- Someone dependable who is comfortable working overnight
- The ability to follow instructions and complete tasks without constant supervision
- A calm, friendly and professional manner with guests
- Good awareness of safety and security
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Confidence using computers and basic hotel systems
- Honesty, discretion and good judgement
- Availability to work a minimum of two nights per week
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays
- The right to work in the UK
You don’t need to be in charge of the whole hotel. You do need to be useful when something happens at 3am.

Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, it’s our original home with signature bedrooms, a 16th-century pub, an al fresco terrace and spaces for weddings and events.
Most guests will never see everything the night team does. They’ll notice if it hasn’t been done.
