Manufacturing Technician
Location: Loughborough - Bishop Meadow Road
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for the safe and accurate packing of chemical products into a variety of containers and packaging formats. You will work in a regulated environment, following strict procedures and safety guidelines.
With training and strong performance, there is an opportunity to progress to Manufacturing Technician within 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Follow work orders and packaging instructions accurately
Operate filling, labelling, and packing equipment (manual & automated)
Measure, weigh, and verify raw materials to ensure batch accuracy
Check batch numbers, product codes, and labels for correctness
Pack finished goods and palletise for warehouse transfer
Perform routine quality checks and inspections
Maintain accurate production and quality records
Carry out basic equipment maintenance
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures (including COSHH)
Report any incidents, hazards, or safety concerns promptly
Maintain housekeeping standards (5S)
Support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, TPM, etc.)
Be flexible to work across departments as neededHealth & Safety
Adhere strictly to PPE requirements (provided on-site)
Follow manual handling and chemical safety procedures
Work in line with environmental and safety regulations
