Maintenance Engineer
Location: Bradford
Salary: Competitive
Shift Pattern: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (annual rota provided)
About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support the repair, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production machinery within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns, helping to maximise machine uptime and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on site machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to maintain and repair machinery.
Maintain equipment including conveyors, bearings, pulleys, timing belts, sensors, motors, and other production machinery.
Prepare new equipment for operation and carry out testing to ensure safety and performance.
Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
Complete maintenance records and follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, or Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
Relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or technical training.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
