As our Legal Counsel - Markets (Asia Pacific & Global Supply Chain), you’ll be part of the Legal team working closely with brilliant people across the business. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

As our Legal Counsel - Markets (Asia Pacific & Global Supply Chain), you will be responsible for:


Supply Chain

  • Support Global Supply Chain matters, including sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and operations contracts with timely, pragmatic legal input. Monitor legal developments impacting GSC, advising stakeholders and supporting to adapt processes, working with GSC and the wider markets legal teams to ensure compliance.


Markets

  • Act as a legal business partner to market stakeholders, providing timely advice on regulatory compliance, risk management and commercial transactions.
  • Deliver high-quality legal and commercial support to Asia Pacific market operations across DTC, retail, e-commerce, marketing, social media, and B2B sales.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of sales contracts including marketing and wholesale.


Commercial and operational support

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of vendor contracts for the markets including marketing, supplier, local procurement, outsourcing, real estate and general commercial agreements, working within global standards and frameworks.
  • Partner with the global marketing, procurement and technology legal reams to support local adaptation and execution.
  • Collaborate with Group Legal Operations to implement contract lifecycle processes, DM global practice standards and optimise legal service delivery across markets, enabling self-service where appropriate.
  • Assist in developing templates, precedents and know-how relevant for the Asia Pacific region to drive consistency and efficiency.


Employment

  • Partner with the HR team to support employment law matters, internal investigations, and dispute resolution and support HR initiatives to ensure compliance with local employment laws and DM policies and standards.


Compliance

  • Support global compliance programmes by reviewing and implementing internal policies, training and monitoring frameworks within markets.
  • Monitor legal developments impacting Asia Pacific markets and GSC; advise stakeholders and adapt processes to ensure compliance.
  • Educate and train business teams on key legal and compliance topics, embedding risk awareness and enabling self-service where appropriate.



KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

  • A Hong Kong qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with up to 1-year PQE.
  • A strong interest and commitment to learn and develop in this role.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively in English, as well as in Chinese (Mandarin) or alternatively in Korean or Japanese.
  • Organised, adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, global environment; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Adaptable: Thrives in a dynamic environment and responds effectively to changing responsibilities and priorities.
