As a Lead Line Cook you will support, train and mentor our culinary team in one of these kitchens serving up amazing food to our members, guests, and customers.

Who we are…

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to have opened a Ned’s Club in the US capital in 2025, our fourth and newest location.


The Property…

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.

The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.


The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.


As part of our culinary team and reporting to the kitchen leadership team, you will:

  • Keep our guests and customers well fed by preparing and serving our restaurant menus
  • Oversee and direct line cooks during food preparation and service
  • Train, mentor, and support new and existing kitchen staff
  • Act as shift lead in the absence of a Sous Chef or Executive Chef
  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items consistently and accurately
  • Ensure portion sizes, presentation, and quality meet company standards
  • Assist with expediting orders to ensure timely service
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service
  • Maintain prep lists, par levels, and ensure readiness for upcoming shifts
  • Break down, clean, and sanitize stations after service
  • Work closely with chefs, line cooks, and FOH staff to ensure a smooth service
  • Communicate effectively with the team to maintain efficiency, morale and team building
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and menu development when requested



What you can bring to the role:

  • 3+ years of professional cooking experience (line cook or higher).
  • Our kitchens can be high pressure so a calm demeanor and a genuine passion for providing guests with exceptional food is essential
  • A creative flair is always welcome, our menus change seasonally, and you may be offered the opportunity to assist your Head Chef in menu creation
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple kitchen stations
  • Proven leadership ability in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification (preferred)
  • Culinary degree or formal training a plus but not required
  • Able to varies shifts to include AM and PM service
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift, pull and push up to 35 pounds regularly
