Kitchen Porters Required - London Central, North and North West

Overview of Responsibilities:

· Follow cleaning schedules to the exact standards and follow chemical COSHH information set by the Manager on site.

· Ensuring all cutlery, crockery and glassware is professionally cleaned before and after use and ensure all service areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.

· Cleaning of all cooking utensils as required by the culinary team during the preparation (mis-en-place) and service times.

· Comply with all company policies including Health & Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH.

· Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

· Communicating with the kitchen team and front of house colleagues to ensure smooth operational delivery.

· Exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness

· Cleaning of kitchen work areas during and after use and removal of kitchen waste to the appropriate area.

· Assisting with the set up and clear down of your area, ready for the next service.

· Operating cleaning machinery as shown and trained in accordance with company policy.

· To be polite & courteous to all members of staff, client & public

General Day to Day Tasks

· Pot washing

· Glass crushing / Glass washing

· Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks

· Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day

· Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators

· Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher

· Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly

· Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers

Working Hours

Hours will vary dependent on each business need, hours can be minimum of 4 up to 12 per day. Businesses do operate 7 days a week making all days of the week and times of shifts available for you to apply.

• Be flexible and comply with any reasonable requests made by your line manager, including if necessary, working within other units of the venue
