Kitchen Porter – Weekday Work

We’re looking for reliable, hardworking and motivated Kitchen Porters to join our teams across a range of business and workplace catering locations across Reading and Bracknell.

📍 Locations

• KPMG – Reading, RG1 3AD – Onsite restaurant, dining and hospitality facilities
• TD SYNNEX – Bracknell, RG12 8FZ – Onsite restaurant and café facilities
• Virgin Media – Reading, RG2 6UU – Staff restaurant and dedicated barista coffee shop
• Fujitsu – Bracknell, RG12 8SN – Onsite canteen, restaurant and café facilities

You’ll play an important role in supporting the kitchen and wider catering team, helping to ensure the operation runs smoothly and maintains excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Shifts are typically Monday to Friday, 9:00am–2:30pm but may vary depending on site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Washing up pots, pans, crockery and kitchen equipment
• Keeping kitchen, washing-up and storage areas clean and tidy
• Supporting chefs and catering teams with general kitchen duties
• Ensuring equipment and work areas are cleaned to a high standard
• Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas
• Supporting with deliveries, stock movement and putting supplies away
• Assisting with basic food preparation when required
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety
• Following Food Safety, Health & Safety, COSHH and allergen procedures
• Working as part of a busy and professional catering team

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 months' previous kitchen porter or catering experience
• A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Must have your own black safety shoes
• A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential
