We are currently recruiting Kitchen & Logistics Porters to support our busy catering operation at the NEC. This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic, reliable individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a supportive and professional team.
About the Role
As a Kitchen & Logistics Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring our catering and event operations run smoothly. Working behind the scenes, you'll help maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and efficiency while supporting both kitchen and event teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitise pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain clean, organised and safe kitchen, storage and back-of-house areas.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
- Receive, move and store deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Complete cleaning schedules to the highest standards.
- Support the wider kitchen operation to ensure seamless service during events.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH regulations.
- Assist with moving furniture and setting up hospitality areas for events.
- Support event build-ups by moving equipment, units and barrels as required.
About You
We're looking for individuals who are:
- Aged 18 or over.
- Comfortable working in an environment where alcohol is served and handled.
- Previous Kitchen Porter or catering experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Hardworking, dependable and able to work effectively in a busy environment.
- Team players with a proactive approach and the ability to use their own initiative.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Flexible, positive and willing to support different areas of the catering operation when needed.
