Ward Hosts – King's Mill Hospital

Constellation is currently recruiting Ward Hosts to join our team at King's Mill Hospital. Please note that this role is employed by Constellation, not the hospital.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Ward Host, you'll play an important role in supporting patients by:

• Serving meals and drinks to patients.
• Taking meal orders and ensuring dietary requirements are followed.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene on the ward.
• Providing a friendly, caring, and professional service to patients and ward staff.
• Assisting with the collection of meal trays and keeping service areas clean and organised.
• Following food safety, infection prevention, and health & safety procedures at all times.

Shift Patterns

• Working across 7 days a week.
• 3–5 shifts per week available.
• Alternate weekends preferred.
• Suitable for 20-hour visa holders and full-time applicants.

Shift Times:

• 7:00am – 1:30pm
• 2:30pm – 6:30pm

Pay

• £12.71 per hour

What We're Looking For

• Previous customer service experience is essential.
• A friendly, approachable, and compassionate manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a busy environment.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Basic DBS check required.
• Black trousers.
• Black shoes.
• White shirt.

Constellation will provide hats and aprons.

Training

A full induction and training programme will be provided to ensure you're fully prepared for the role.
