Hotel Receptionist
Hotel Receptionist - Crazy Bear Beaconsfield
Reception is where everything arrives first: guests, questions, deliveries and the occasional problem nobody ordered.
We’re looking for a warm, organised and switched-on Hotel Receptionist to help make every stay run smoothly from arrival to departure.
You’ll welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, answer enquiries and work closely with every department across the hotel. You’ll need to know what’s happening—or at least know who does.
What you’ll be doing across two hotels
- Welcoming guests and completing check-in administration
- Showing guests to their bedrooms and explaining the hotel’s facilities
- Preparing for arrivals and coordinating special requests
- Working with housekeeping, restaurants, bars and other departments
- Completing check-outs, bills and payments accurately
- Responding to guest questions and resolving straightforward problems
- Answering telephone and email enquiries
- Managing and supporting bedroom and dining reservations
- Recommending and upselling bedrooms, dining, drinks and Thai massage treatments
- Completing daily reports, filing and general reception administration
- Maintaining clear handovers between shifts
- Handling guest information carefully and confidentially
Who we’re looking for
Previous hotel reception or customer-service experience is useful, but natural warmth and solid organisation matter just as much.
You’ll be:
- Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with different people
- Organised enough to manage several requests at once
- Accurate with bookings, bills and payments
- Clear and professional over the telephone and by email
- Comfortable learning and using hotel systems
- Calm when plans change or something goes wrong
- Confident recommending and selling the hotel’s services naturally
- Flexible enough to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Able to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK
- Have a drivers licence and vehicle.
We want genuine hospitality. Nobody needs the polished “reception voice” for eight hours straight.
The good stuff
- £12.82 per hour
- 50% off food and drink for up to four people
- 50% off overnight stays
- 50% off Crazy Bear ticketed events
- One free overnight stay every year
- An extra day off for your birthday
- 28 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays
- One additional day of holiday for each completed year of service, up to 33 days including bank holidays
- Training and opportunities to progress
- £300 for successfully referring someone who joins us
- Financial recognition for going above and beyond
- Bear of the Month rewards
- Workplace pension
- Access to Hospitality Rewards perks and discounts
Where you’ll be working
Crazy Bear Beaconsfield is Town.
Signature bedrooms, two restaurants—The Dining Room and Hom Thai—two bars and a hidden outdoor pool, all tucked into the middle of Old Beaconsfield.
Our cocktail bar is mirrored, low-lit and built for late nights. The wine list is considered, the drinks are taken seriously and the atmosphere rarely sits still for long.
If you can remember a guest’s name, keep track of three requests and solve a problem without looking panicked, we should talk.
