What You’ll Be Doing:
- Cleaning all cooking utensils as required by the culinary team
- Ensuring all cutlery, crockery, and glassware are cleaned and presented to a high standard before and after use
- Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Communicating effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to support smooth service
- Operating cleaning machinery safely and in line with company training and procedures
- Adhering to all Health & Safety regulations, including hygiene standards, manual handling, and COSHH guidelines
- Maintaining high standards of kitchen housekeeping, including sweeping and mopping floors
- Disposing of waste correctly and keeping all work areas clean and organised
- Supporting chefs and the wider team with basic prep tasks as required
- Assisting with stock movement and any additional duties as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a kitchen porter
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
We have on going work and events across Compass sites. Key event dates are:
- 3rd May EICC
- 15th May EICC
- 30th June – 3rd July Holyrood Palace
