Main Responsibilities for Baristas

• Prepare and serve a range of high-quality coffees and hot and cold beverages to company standards.
• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders and other beverage equipment safely and confidently.
• Demonstrate knowledge of coffee preparation, including espresso-based drinks and milk steaming.
• Maintain consistently high standards of presentation, quality and service.
• Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented coffee and service area throughout the shift.
• Follow recipes, portion controls and company standards when preparing beverages and food items.
• Handle cash and card payments accurately where required.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management when supplies need replenishing.
• Comply with all company and unit policies regarding Health & Safety, Food Safety, Allergens, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH.
• Take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of others.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Take pride in your work, enjoy your role and deliver an excellent experience for every guest.

Skills / Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista is essential, with a good understanding of coffee preparation and customer service. You should be confident using professional coffee equipment and be passionate about delivering high-quality beverages and exceptional service.
