The Event Sales Planner is responsible for managing client and event-planning activities across the Event Sales team. This role serves as a strategic partner to the Head of Event Sales, exercising sound judgment and decision-making to ensure exceptional client experiences, operational excellence and successful execution of luxury events.


The Event Sales Planner manages complex event logistics, develops standardized processes, supports financial planning and reporting and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure seamless delivery of private events while maintaining luxury service standards. This position is 100% on-site and in person.

About The Ned:

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. After launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to have opened a Ned’s Club in the US capital in 2025, our fourth and newest location.


The property:

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.

The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.


Reporting into the Head of Event Sales, this role is an essential part of the event sales function:

  • Serve as a primary operational lead within the Event Sales department, ensuring consistent execution of event planning processes and elevated client experiences.
  • Manage event planning activities from contract execution through event completion, proactively identifying priorities, resolving challenges and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients by providing consultative guidance, anticipating needs and exercising discretion in resolving issues throughout the planning process.
  • Partner with the Head of Event Sales to establish planning priorities, coordinate departmental initiatives and support achievement of revenue and operational goals.
  • Develop and review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring accuracy, completeness and alignment with client expectations and operational capabilities.
  • Liaison with the Event Operations team to ensure vendor coordination, scheduling, room configurations, audiovisual requirements, transportation, entertainment and other operational components.
  • Collaborate with Food & Beverage, Event Operations, Finance, Culinary and other departments to align operational plans, resolve complex issues and ensure exceptional event execution.
  • Monitor event financials, including budgets, deposits, payment schedules, billing accuracy and revenue reporting while identifying and helping address discrepancies.
  • Analyze sales activity, event performance and financial data to prepare reports, identify trends and provide recommendations that support forecasting and business planning.
  • Maintain the integrity of technology management systems by ensuring accurate documentation, reporting and client information.
  • Develop, implement and maintain departmental standard operating procedures, templates and administrative best practices.
  • Exercise independent judgment in resolving client concerns, operational issues and scheduling conflicts while escalating matters requiring executive approval as appropriate.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the Event Sales team by providing SOPs on departmental procedures, systems and event planning standards.
  • Represent Ned ‘s Club with professionalism, discretion and a commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality throughout every stage of the client journey.


What you can bring to the role:

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in luxury hospitality, private events, event sales, catering or a comparable client-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex events and competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships across clients, vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience interpreting financial information, managing event budgets, monitoring revenue and supporting business planning.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using CRM, event management and reporting systems.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and recommend improvements to processes and workflows.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information and client matters.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a commitment to operational excellence and luxury service standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on business needs.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to a minimum of 35 pounds.
