Drivers Mate
Location: Gloucester
Shifts: Monday to Friday 06:00 start
Pay Rate: £14.38 per hour
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Drivers Mate to support delivery operations. This role involves assisting drivers and warehouse teams with loading, unloading, and delivery coordination to ensure smooth daily distribution activities.
Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist warehouse staff with loading and unloading vehicles at the start and end of shifts
Support HGV drivers with loading and unloading goods during deliveries
Handle products safely and efficiently in line with company procedures
Communicate with depots and customers when required to support delivery coordination
Work as part of a team to ensure timely and accurate deliveriesRequirements
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Willingness to work early morning shifts and support drivers as neededAdditional Information
This is a physically active role involving manual handling
