Club Service Captain


The Club Service Captain is a passionate and dedicated service orientated leader. The Club Service Captain will help to lead our outlets service team in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences our members and guests expect. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on the floor, loves developing people, assist with hands on training and facilitating training sessions, and takes pride in flawless service execution.

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to have opened a Ned’s Club in the US capital in 2025, our fourth and newest location. Ned’s Club Washington is our first Club only property, with access exclusive to our global members.

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.


The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-store building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.


Reporting to the Restaurant Managers you will:

• Train, coach, inspire and celebrate our outlets service team

• Provide outstanding hospitality to our guests, tailoring your service and training to deliver the exceptional experiences that Ned's Club is known for

• Support all outlets on an as needed basis, with a focus on staff mentorship and training while driving revenue

• Act as lead server in the absence of lead server in the outlets

• Using your unrivalled knowledge of our menus, you'll answer all guest queries and provide recommendations to make sure every guest receives the perfect meal

• Assist and direct the team on set-up and tear-down for each outlet to optimize service, taking care of our restaurant space

• Support and lead the team to help them deliver the level of service and standards that our members expect

• Our outlet often need flipping quickly between services and events, so you may need to assist the following team with preparing linen, glassware, silverware, etc. for upcoming events and services

• Maintain a safe and clean environment, protecting our members, guests, your teammates, and our agency helpers from any possible harm

• Coach and educate the team on wine, spirits and food to provide opportunities to upsell our members

• Utilize expanded wine knowledge to contribute towards team member training

• Participate in service focused trainings with managers, supervisors and people and development team

• Support and develop a culture of member preference collection and knowledge building that enhances the member experience


What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a hospitality, restaurant, or events environment, ideally in a supervisory or team-lead capacity

• A genuine passion for food, drink, and service excellence

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team, even under pressure

• Excellent communication skills and a natural warmth with guests

• Comfortable working flexible and open hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and event-driven schedules

• A proactive, hands-on approach — happy to jump in wherever needed, from the floor to the back-of-house

• A team player who leads by example and helps maintain high standards across the board
