Cleaner – Constellation
Location: Westlands Lane, Torquay, Devon, TQ1 3PE
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Shift Patterns: 7:00am–3:00pm or 3:00pm–7:00pm
Employment Type: Casual shifts
About the Role
Constellation is recruiting reliable and hardworking Cleaners to join our team at a private school in Torquay.
You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, dining areas, and communal spaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean surfaces.
- Empty bins and replenish hygiene supplies.
- Clean high-touch points and busy areas.
- Use and store cleaning equipment safely.
- Follow health and safety, COSHH, and cleaning procedures.
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns.
- Complete cleaning duties efficiently to a high standard.
Requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy, with good attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Understanding of hygiene and health and safety procedures.
- Previous cleaning experience and COSHH knowledge are desirable.
