Our Children’s Activities and Education Coordinator

As our Children’s Activities and Education Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering an inspiring and ever-growing programme of workshops, school visits, seasonal events and family experiences across the Estate. Working closely with the Children’s Experience and Education Manager, you will ensure every detail is thoughtfully prepared and seamlessly delivered, from behind-the-scenes coordination to hands-on facilitation. This is a dynamic role where organisation meets creativity, offering the opportunity to engage directly with children and families while helping shape meaningful, memorable learning experiences rooted in nature, heritage and imagination.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of children’s workshops, trails, school visits and seasonal events
  • Prepare materials, resources and spaces to ensure smooth delivery
  • Assist with on-site setup, hosting and pack down of activities
  • Manage booking systems, inboxes and scheduling information
  • Process participant data and maintain accuracy across systems
  • Coordinate communications including confirmations and pre-arrival information
  • Support safeguarding, health and safety and compliance processes
  • Assist with school enquiries, scheduling and visit coordination

What we're looking for

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator, engaging with children, families and educators
  • Experience working with children or young people in structured environments
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills across multiple tasks
  • Calm under pressure with effective problem-solving ability
  • Flexible approach, comfortable with both planning and hands-on delivery
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Office and booking systems


Where you'll be working

The Education department delivers a growing programme of workshops, events, school visits and family experiences across the Estate. The programme is rooted in nature, creativity, heritage and hands-on learning, and is designed to provide high-quality, enriching experiences for children and families year-round.

The team works collaboratively across the Estate, including with the Hotel, Visitor Attractions and wider departments, to deliver engaging and well-executed programmes that are aligned with the Estate’s wider offering.
