We are looking for experienced chefs to join our matchday catering team at Peterborough United across a range of levels:
💷 Commis Chef – £13.94 per hour
💷 Junior CDP – £15.53 per hour
💷 Chef de Partie – £17.14 per hour
💷 Lead Chef – £20.36 per hour
👨🍳 The Role
Our chefs will play an important role in delivering a high-quality matchday food service across the stadium. Depending on your level, you may be responsible for food preparation, service, managing a section or leading the kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard.
- Complete food preparation and kitchen setup ahead of service.
- Work efficiently during busy matchday service periods.
- Follow menus, recipes and portion-control requirements.
- Maintain excellent standards of food presentation.
- Ensure all food is stored, prepared and handled safely.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and kitchen organisation.
- Work effectively as part of a busy kitchen brigade.
- Support other members of the kitchen team when required.
- For senior roles, oversee sections and support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
⭐ Experience Required
Proven chef experience is ESSENTIAL.
Applicants should have previous professional kitchen experience appropriate to the level they are applying for and be confident working in a fast-paced catering environment.
For the Lead Chef position, you must also have:
📋 Level 3 Food Safety Certificate – ESSENTIAL
The successful Lead Chef must be able to provide/show their Level 3 Food Safety Certificate at interview.
