We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join the team at The Parakeet.

Located in the heart of Kentish Town, The Parakeet is an independent public house and dining room. In the front, a lively neighbourhood pub. In the back, an award-winning dining room serving Basque-inspired small plates cooked over fire and coal. We’re proud to be listed in the Michelin Guide, and we work with some of the best suppliers in the country, focusing on incredible fresh produce and ingredients that speak for themselves. Led by chef Ben Allen, the kitchen has received critical acclaim from The Times, The Evening Standard, and more.

This is a food-led kitchen with a clear identity. Cooking over fire, working with exceptional ingredients, and delivering small plates designed to be shared. It’s about precision, timing and consistency, with every section working together to create a seamless service.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience running a section in a quality-led kitchen
  • Strong understanding of ingredients and cooking techniques
  • Good organisation and time management
  • Attention to detail and pride in your work
  • A team-first mindset and positive attitude

  • A kitchen focused on quality produce and proper cooking
  • Development in fire and coal cooking techniques
  • Exposure to small plate service and kitchen flow
  • Clear progression opportunities within the group
