Chef de Partie - Crazy Bear Stadhampton
A good section needs more than someone who can cook.
It needs someone who prepares properly, stays organised and still sends every plate out as it should when the tickets start stacking up.
We’re looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to take ownership of a section in our new kitchen. You’ll work with seasonal produce, responsibly sourced fish and rare-breed meats—turning good ingredients into properly good food.

- Taking full responsibility for your section
- Making sure your mise en place is ready before service
- Keeping timings, portions and presentation consistent
- Working closely with the rest of the kitchen during service
- Supporting junior chefs and sharing what you know
- Contributing ideas to seasonal menus and daily specials
- Checking deliveries and managing stock rotation
- Monitoring waste and using ingredients responsibly
- Handling allergies and dietary requirements safely
- Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards
What we’re looking for
- At least two years’ experience in a similar kitchen
- The confidence to run a section efficiently
- Strong cooking skills and a good understanding of seasonal produce
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to stay calm and consistent under pressure
- A reliable, team-focused approach
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- The right to work in the UK

Where you’ll be working
Crazy Bear Stadhampton is Country.
Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, it’s our original home—with signature bedrooms, a 16th-century pub, an al fresco terrace and spaces for weddings and events.
The pace is more relaxed than Town, but there’s still plenty going on: proper pints and good wine in the pub, cocktails by the fire pit and events that can take over the whole place.
If you can own your section, back the team and cook with care, we should talk.
