With some flexibility around team holidays and peak periods.
As the Assistant Warehouse Team Leader, you will support the late shift Warehouse Team Leader in managing and coordinating the team throughout the shift. You will assist with store picking during the first part of the shift, ensuring accuracy and productivity standards are met. You will also support the end of day dispatch process, ensuring courier and store deliveries are organised, sorted, and ready on time.
You will monitor team performance, provide guidance and support, and act as a key point of contact for team members during the shift. When the Team Leader is absent, you will assume responsibility for leading the shift — coordinating work, running team briefings, and managing dispatch — while escalating issue or decisions to management where required.

As an Assistant Warehouse Team Leader on the Pick Team you will:
- Support the Team Leader to ensure store picks are completed accurately and meet productivity targets.
- Assist with allocating pick tasks and guiding team members where needed.
- Ensure accurate scanning, picking, checking and staging of store orders.
- Support overall workflow throughout the shift, transitioning from picking support to end of day dispatch activity.
- Assist with sorting, preparing and organising courier and store dispatch.
- Ensure all courier and store orders are ready for collection within required cut off times.
- Help resolve issues with orders, missing items or delays and escalate where required.
- Act as a point of contact for the team during the shift to support and answer any queries.
- In the Team Leader’s absence, lead team briefings, allocate tasks and oversee late shift completion.
- Lead the shift operationally when required, escalating decisions to the Team Leader or Warehouse Management.
- In the absence of the Team Leader, release pick lists and allocate tasks to team members.
- Support the generation of end of shift reports and dispatch confirmations via the WMS.
- Use courier booking systems when required.
- Support accurate recording of overtime, holiday and attendance in the HR system.
- Conduct return to work meetings when appropriate and with guidance.
- Participate in recorded conversations with support from the Team Leader or People Team.
- Note take during investigations or disciplinary meetings when required.
- Communicate shift priorities clearly and maintain open communication with the Team Leader.
- Develop your leadership skills and lead by example.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment at all times.
