Internships In Accountancy

Well, they can be...

Some accounting internships are open to students studying any degree subject, but the most prestigious accounting and finance internships will require that you are on a finance or business studies related course for you to be considered for a place.

Different Sorts of UK Internships In Accounting You Can Do:

Finance and accounting internships are often very general affairs like management accounting internships which will cover most of the skills you’ll need wherever you might end up working in the sector, but there are some more specialised options such as forensic accounting internships and government accounting internships which could put you ahead of the field if you want to follow a narrower route.

Undergraduate accounting internships and graduate accounting internships can be found at most times of the year with small and medium sized enterprises, but the majority of the bigger finance firms (especially the Big Four companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC) tend to offer only spring or summer accounting internships which typically last for around eight to twelve weeks.
