ResQ Set To Create 400 Full & Part Time Call Centre Jobs In Hull & Seaham
ResQ, the call centre specialist, has announced plans to create around 400 new full and part time jobs across its sites in Hull and Seaham following a series of contract wins.
The company, which is headquartered on Paragon Street in Hull, secured new business across the energy, telecoms and automotive sectors, driving a major expansion of its workforce.
ResQ, which already employs around 2,000 people, said recruitment will take place throughout the rest of this year.
The new roles are expected to include customer service advisors, team leaders and operational support staff, offering a range of opportunities for students and other jobseekers across the North East and Humber regions.
ResQ said it will also provide training and career development opportunities for new recruits, as it continues to scale up its operations. The latest hiring push follows a recent expansion of its Seaham site, where more than 100 employees joined the business just last year.
The company specialises in handling high-pressure customer interactions, supporting clients’ customers in urgent situations such as heating breakdowns or vehicle issues, where fast, accurate and reassuring communication is essential.
To support their ambitions, ResQ has invested heavily in its own in-house technology, including its iQ system, which works alongside human call handlers to improve response times and decision-making in ‘high-stakes’ scenarios.
The firm says this combination of technology and human support helps teams better understand customer needs and identify risks earlier.
With a turnover of around £38 million, ResQ is one of the UK’s larger contact centre operators, working with major brands across sectors including telecoms, utilities, retail and financial services.
The company said its latest contract wins are expected to drive further investment in jobs, skills and long-term careers, providing a boost to local employment in both Hull and Seaham.
Announcing the recruitment drive, ResQ’s Chief Executive Officer, Gill Marchbank, said: "This latest round of growth speaks to the reputation we have built at ResQ for delivering expert customer service within organisations where teams are under intense pressure to respond quickly and effectively. It's a real vote of confidence in our people and the quality of service we deliver for our partners.”
“In many of the sectors we support, customers are contacting organisations at stressful or critical moments, so combining human empathy with real-time insight through iQ [their AI platform] allows our teams to respond in the right way and helps our clients make better decisions in real time,” added the CEO.
