Kellogg’s Manufacturer Invests £75 Million Creating Over 100 Jobs In Wrexham

Kellanova, the manufacturer of Kellogg’s cereal products in the UK, is creating over 100 new full and part time jobs in Wrexham with a massive £75 million investment.

Kellanova already provides jobs for over 350 people at its North Wales factory but is now set to increase its headcount by more than a third at the facility by hiring a further 130 members of staff.

The move will create Europe's largest cereal manufacturing plant and double the factory's production capacity.

Announcing the plans, Chris Silcock, the managing director for Kellanova in the UK, said: “By bringing together the manufacturing of all our major breakfast cereals at one site in Wrexham, we can make significant leaps forward in the efficiency, quality and sustainability of our operation.”

“The experience and capabilities of our skilled team at Wrexham will be crucial to the success of this transformation, which is a significant milestone in the evolution of our business. We look forward to making Wrexham the home of our cereal production for many generations to come,” added Mr Silcock.

Local councillor Nigel Williams, who is in charge of economy and tourism for Wrexham Council, welcomed the announcement, saying:

“This investment will create an additional 130 skilled and well-paid jobs, and will consolidate the plant’s long-term future. I’m aware of hundreds of millions of pounds being invested by companies in Wrexham at the moment and this is another example of how these large international companies have the confidence to invest here.”

“It’s a fantastic endorsement for the city and county borough and shows that Wrexham is open for business,” said Mr Williams.

Wrexham MP Andrew Ranger also commented, saying: “Our skilled workforce is one of Wrexham’s greatest assets and I am confident that their expertise and dedication will contribute to the success of this venture. I look forward to a prosperous partnership and the positive impact this investment will have for Wrexham.”

The expansion will not only create a range of new job opportunities in Wrexham but also increase the factory's production of popular brands like Special K, All-Bran and Corn Flakes.

Kellogg's also says it is committed to reducing its environmental impact through new technologies and improved processes.

This investment presents excellent career opportunities for students seeking roles in manufacturing, operations and related fields.
