Job Description
This is a new role created in the Energy & Environment (E&E) division at Haymarket Media Group - covering DCS, Horticulture Week, and Windpower Monthly brands and brand extensions.
Working as part of the Publishing support team, you will report to the Assistant Publishing Manager, helping with administrative support to the Editorial teams of the E&E division, whilst providing PA duties to the divisions’ Director(s).
As an Apprentice, you will learn to:
- Manage subscription debt for two brands (this will involve some debt chasing)
- Work closely with commissioning editors, ensuring all contributor costs are captured and recorded in the brand Publisher’s Reports
- Keep track of publishing calendars for your brands and update Publisher’s Reports accordingly
- Monitor and record production costs
- Raise requisitions and ensure purchase orders are issued to suppliers in good time
- Monitor and manage late supplier invoices
- Manage supplier system (SIM) registrations with new suppliers
- Be the main port of call for all customer and supplier queries
- Keep track of, and submit timesheets for casual workers (freelancers)
- Assist with, and organise logistics and preparatory work for brand events
- Assist in the development and purchasing of marketing materials
- Arrange travel and accommodation booking
- Book meetings/appointments
- Use CMS for brand websites, in particular updating listed events
- Manage E&E Group brands subscriptions to external magazines/newspapers/websites
- Liaise with other departments such as Facilities, HR and IT teams when necessary
- Other ad hoc admin work or duties requested by or for the teams in E&E, as well as the Assistant Publishing Manager, or Publishing Manager

- Comprehensive use of MS Office / Google docs
- Ability to establish and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Future Prospects :
- In addition to the Apprenticeship Qualifications, you will also have the opportunity to attend Haymarkets in-house, specialist training sessions to aid you further in your role
