ABOUT JIGSAWPLUS: Jigsaw Trust is a registered charity (Charity No. 1075464) that was established in 1999, firstly with Jigsaw CABAS® School. Today the school has provision for up to 75 pupils aged 4 to 19 years, and has again been rated Outstanding by Ofsted in October 2016. In 2012, the trust expanded to include JigsawPlus a Centre for Lifelong Learning delivering a range of specialist day services to include adults. THE OPPORTUNITY: Due to the expansion of our adult services, JigsawPlus has new opportunities for Learning Support Workers to join our team. Working within our brand new ‘Centre for Life Long Learning’ you will be supporting young adults with autism and related disabilities in the attainment of knowledge and skills that will enhance their well-being, independence and social inclusion. Whilst you are working, you will receive a comprehensive training and development package including the nationally recognised ‘Care Certificate’, training modules for Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and/or a QCF in Health and Social Care. We also provide a broad spectrum of further training opportunities such as First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and Hand Hygiene. RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORKING HOURS: Starting salary is £15,269 per annum plus a comprehensive benefits and CPD package. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidate will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). |
Qualifications

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
- Three to twelve months experience of working with adults or children with autism within a medical, educational, care or personal setting.
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
Desirable:
- Experience delivering personal care
- Care Certificate
- Started Pre-teacher 1 training
- QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults)
- If successful, you must have permission to work in the UK by the start of your employment
- You must be able to speak English fluently
