Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit kitchen porters to join the Levy team at The 02 Arena. This is a part time position working to assist the department on Event nights.

Qualifications

  • Duties include: • Daily cleaning of all kitchen areas, Canteens and Bars • To follow the cleaning schedules as instructed – to sign cleaning schedules daily to provide due diligence that cleaning has been undertaken. • To deep clean kitchen equipment as required, including Grease extraction canopies and ducting systems and Grease guardians. • Food waste bins / general waste bins and recycle bins to be cleaned weekly as instructed. • Report any equipment malfunctions to the BOH Manager/ Head Chef • To know and understand health and safety standards in the kitchen and report any hazards as necessary to the Sous Chef / Head Chef • To be fully conversant with the company’s emergency procedures. • Flexibility to work shifts including day and overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays subject to rota and a willingness to extend or change hours and days of work from time to time upon request and subject to operational requirements. • To keep clean all kitchen equipment, floors, walls, fixtures and fittings including any outside areas or storage. • To carry out routine and periodic cleaning tasks as set by the Head Chef/Duty Manager in kitchen, Staff Canteen, Back Yard and ancillary areas Requirements: • A ‘can-do’ attitude, prepared to help out the rest of the team in a willing and positive manner. • Able to work in a busy environment. • Nice People with a focus on delivering world class service. • Polite and friendly people with, good communication skills
