As a Trainee Support Worker you will learn how to provide person centred care to people with physical disabilities, medical conditions, mental health and the elderly. A Support Workers duties are;
- Providing Personal Care, such as washing and dressing
- Helping service users to cook and/or serve them meals
- Helping to keep their home clean and tidy
- Helping with Laundry
- Helping to promote physical and mental wellbeing by taking the client out and being good company for them
- Identifying other support that the client might need to stay independent and safe in their own homes
- Communicating and feeding back to head office
