Job Description
You will be working alongside experienced staff, learning skills and making sure that the school remains a clean, healthy and safe environment for children to learn. On a day to day basis this may involve;
- Minor repairs
- Reactive cleaning / making safe
- Minor plumbing work
- Distribution of deliveries
- Liaison with trades
- Ordering of stock and other tasks to help the smooth running of this large primary school
During school closure periods there may be opportunity for larger scale projects and renovations working with the site manager who is a master carpenter.
Personal Qualities :
Post holders will be reliable, hardworking and willing to take on new tasks and learn new skills.
They must work well within a team, but also be self-motivated and proactive when working alone.
Patience when interacting with young children is essential.
Skills Required :
Good communication skills both written and oral.
Future Prospects :
There could be progression within the wider trust or on completion of this apprenticeship, you will have the skills to progress into another maintenance or facilities roles.
