Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to earn as they learn and train to become a Level 2 qualified engineer. The apprentice will spend 4 days per week at the employers premises in Hayle and 1 day a week at college working toward the NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations.
Daily duties at work will comprise of:
- Using hand and power tools.
- Learning to understand engineering drawings.
- Use measuring equipment.
- Learn safe working practices.
- Learn to operate machines including computer numerically controlled (CNC) and laser cutters.
- Fabrication, machining and fitting activities.
Complexity of duties will develop throughout the duration of the 2 year apprenticeship.

- Have physical strength.
- Can work well in a team.
Skills Required :
The successful candidate must have a flexible, enthusiastic attitude with good team working ability. The ability to follow instructions and self-motivation are also a pre requisite.

Their may be the opportunity, on completition of the apprenticeship, for the right candidate to become an integral part of the team.
